You can add your server in Avorion. This has the advantage that you don't have to wait until it appears in the server list.

Important: This method only works if the port is 27000!
If it's not, you have to find the server in the list by name and join it that way.

And this is how it works:

1. Start your game
2. Click on Multiplayer.
3. Now click on Join via IP.
4. Under Server address enter the IP together with the Queryport.
   The entry should look like this:IP:Queryport
5. Under Server name you can define the name for the entry.
6. Finally, click on Add server.

You can now join the server by double-clicking on the entry you just created.
