Rent your own ARK server now at 4Netplayers.com

To enable local text chat in ARK it is necessary that the server is in Advanced Mode.

Now the following values must be set via GameUserSettings.ini:

GlobalVoiceChat=true
ProximityChat=false

Apply the change with save and restart the server.

Now you can switch between the chats with TAB
