Valheim: How to upload your own map

Note: To upload your map, you must use an FTP program such as Filezilla.

To upload your savegame, follow these steps:

  1. Stop your server. The status of the server must be Server not running!
  2. Connect to the Savegames FTP.
    You can find the login details in the FTP overview when you click on FTP.
  3. Upload your savegame to the following directory:
    KonfigID/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local
    Note: You can find the KonfigID or configuration ID for your server on our website under Gameserver.
    For example, if your KonfigID is 123456, the path would be /123456/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local.
    If the worlds_local folder does not exist, you are on the wrong FTP!
  4. Open your server for editing by clicking on its name.
  5. Click on Server Settings on the left.
  6. Under World Name, enter the name of your savegame.
    Please note the capitalization!
    “World” and “world” are two different saves for the server!
