Upload savegame in Factorio

Tip: We recommend using an FTP program like Filezilla.
You can find your savegame here: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\saves

Note: The AppData folder is hidden by default on Windows!

Preparing savegame for upload


  1. Open the above-mentioned directory.
  2. Unpack the savegame you want to upload.
  3. Rename the folder with your savegame to my-save.
  4. Pack the folder again.
  5. Rename the Zip file to my-save.zip.

Uploading savegame


  1. Stop your server. The server status must be Server not running!
  2. Connect to the Savegames FTP using your FTP program.
    You can find the login details in the FTP overview by clicking on FTP.
  3. Upload your savegame to the following directory:
    /ConfigID/saves/
    Note: You can find the ConfigID or Configuration ID for your server on our website under Gameserver.
    If your ConfigID is, for example, 123456, it should look like this: /123456/saves.
  4. Start your server.
